Less is more. Over the past few years my closet has slimmed - quality over quantity & classics over trends. I still enjoy select trends here and there, but typically won't spend as much as I might on more timeless pieces I can easily mix and match. More on how this change came about later, but for now, this little black dress was worth the investment.

I don't get to shop at All Saints too often, but if it were up to my my entire closet would look like their store! Unfortunately the only link I could find for this dress is a size 6 sold here. I'm so sad it's sold out, but I've gathered some of my favorite similar pieces for you above.

Tis the season, and what's a holiday playlist without Mariah Carey's "All I Want For Christmas is You"?... While I'm all about the classic, this album is golden, and the ultimate party mix! Pair this festive tune to a little red dress and it's perfect combination for dancing, toasting, and even kissing under the mistletoe!

While simple, this tartan dress from Vineyard Vines makes a bold statement, so personally, I recommend keeping accessories light, though you're welcome to go big on the shoes ;)

I'm not one to wear red often, but evidence proves it's flirty little numbers like these that serve as my go-tos during the holiday season (last year here). Wether partying with your girls or meeting the boyfriends parents, this is a charming combination of classic meets mdoern that's sure to impress.

What can I say? In December I bank on Christmas music, sequins, and festive red dresses!

Happy Monday! I'll keep it short and sweet, neoprene is my new best friend! If you've been spotting some carefully structured pieces in this season's collections, they're likely made of some sort of neoprene blend.

Neoprene, unlike many other fabrics, has the ability to maintain both structure and flexibility, enticing the likes of designers such as Gareth Pugh, Balenciaga, Lanvin and Vera Wang, and more recently such mainstream labels as Madewell, Club Monaco, and Zara.

If you're not up for trying a full neoprene dress, start with a skirt, and I promise you'll quickly notice just how well neoprene can hold it's shape...
