Welcome to theSTUDIO

It’s spontaneous, but it’s also been a long time coming…

You may have noticed you were redirected to a new URL, or perhaps you saw the new logo first. Truth is, I tried this a couple years back, I was headed in the right direction, but I wasn’t ready–– still had some growing to do before understanding the depth of what needed to happen on this site. Growth requires inner inspection, and change takes courage I didn’t have at the time. Glitterary will always hold a place near and dear to my heart, but I, like you, had outgrown what Glitterary was designed to offer. That’s ok, I know that now, but saying goodbye and defining what would come next took time. It’s still me, just 7+ years after first hitting publish...

So why theSTUDIO, and what can you expect moving forward?... Honestly, everything! This is no longer a fashion blog, and that took some time to settle, but while the 24year old girl who started this site still loves fashion, she’s evolved into so much more than that! For the first time ever, I’m allowing this site to be the most authentic representation of everything I am.

I’ll be honest, there will probably be less extravagant outfits styled purely for the sake of a photo, and probably a fair bit more leggings, but with that there’s more room for conversation. I have so many ambitions and new topics I want to dive into. I want to start writing again! Frankly, it’s a bit selfish, because putting word to paper (or in this case blog) is like therapy to me, but hopefully you’ll find some comfort or inspiration there too. With this new take on blogging I’m also throwing a lot of rules out the window and allowing myself to explore this space more freely… it takes everything in me to remove that brand management hat and not map out a cadence or business strategy, but life doesn’t happen in perfect cadence, and this site is too much a part of me to be seen as merely a business.

For some seasons we may talk more about nutrition and health, and at other times more motherhood and family, then maybe pivot to fashion and home, or entrepreneurship and psychology. These are all topics I care about deeply, and will always be a part of who I am, so I want to explore them with more intention and openness.

In total transparency, I have no idea what this site will look like from now on, but I know that it won’t be so much a production, as it will be a place for self expression and growth. And perhaps that’s why I chose theSTUDIO, a place where you can sit quietly and reflect, develop your craft and find inspiration, or train hard and break a sweat because you know you’re worth it.

So thanks for joining me, I hope you’ll stick around and join the conversation, but more importantly I hope you’ll find a place where you feel true human connection, because when the day is done and you’re sitting in bed reading this, I hope the takeaway is always on people… you, family, friends, colleagues. That’s what matters. That’s what lasts from your early twenties when you start a blog, into your 30s when you’re feeding you baby, and researching how to put together a new business plan. This is life, this is theSTUDIO.
